Testimonial Andreas Bjørndal, MSc NAN MNHL

NESODDEN, OSLO, NORWAY

There exist within the field of homeopathy a number of exceptional individuals who have devoted their lives to the advancement, development, and protection of the profession. Among these individuals, Frederik Schroyens stands out as a person whose contributions have had a profound and lasting impact.

Just as James Tyler Kent recognized the necessity of creating a repertory to preserve and utilize the homeopathic knowledge of his era, Frederik Schroyens has made it possible for practitioners to access and apply the contemporary body of homeopathic knowledge with precision and efficiency.

Having practiced homeopathy for over forty-five years, I recall the period when practitioners were required to manually record additions into repertories — inserting loose pages, managing limited space, and facing the continuous challenge of integrating new information.
The influx of new provings and remedies made it nearly impossible to maintain an accurate and up-to-date repertory through traditional means. Ensuring consistency, quality control, and reliable connections between rubrics, remedies, and sources required a level of organization and innovation that the existing repertories could not support.

In this context, the work of Frederik Schroyens has been transformative. His development of the Synthesis provided a modern, systematic, and reliable framework for organizing and accessing the expanding corpus of homeopathic data. Throughout the years, I have had the privilege of hearing Frederik Schroyens discuss the future stages of his development for the Synthesis.
His openness to feedback, his attentiveness to the needs of the profession, and his ability to steadily translate those needs into concrete improvements have been remarkable.

The Synthesis is regarded as the de facto gold standard within the homeopathic community. The profession owes a considerable debt of gratitude to Frederik Schroyens for his continuous efforts to refine, expand, and maintain this indispensable resource. Without his vision, homeopathic expertise, and sustained dedication, the daily work of homeopaths worldwide would be significantly more difficult, and in many cases, impossible.

It is therefore both shocking and unacceptable that any party would claim that the Synthesis is not the intellectual creation of Frederik Schroyens. Within the homeopathic profession, there exists no reasonable doubt that Frederik Schroyens is the sole and original author and creator of the Synthesis.

I respectfully urge that this matter be resolved without delay, in order to protect the integrity of the work and to ensure the continued availability of this essential resource to practitioners worldwide.
The extensive and selfless contributions of Frederik Schroyens — including his public presentations, his active participation in professional events, and his decades-long commitment to improving the repertory — have earned him the unreserved respect and trust of the entire homeopathic community.

The authorship of the Synthesis rests unequivocally with Frederik Schroyens, so close that I think for most homeopaths they are regarded as synonyms.
